Step-by-Step Guide

Receiving

Your artificial plant is carefully packaged to prevent damage during transport. Remove the plant from the box. In some cases, the plant may be tied at the bottom with rope for extra stability.

Unpacking

Once all packaging materials and plastic have been removed, the leaves may still be standing upright. This is normal due to the packaging. Don’t worry—these can easily be shaped.

Unfolding

Start at the bottom by gently bending the stems and branches into the desired angle and shape. Artificial plants usually contain metal wire inside the branches and leaves, making them flexible while allowing them to hold their shape.

For a natural look, bend the branches outward into a rounded form. It helps to use both hands: place one hand on the branch or leaf and the other underneath to gently create a smooth curve.

Be sure to check out our helpful video for step-by-step instructions on unfolding your artificial plant.

Spreading

After shaping the branches and leaves, spread them evenly across the plant. This creates a fuller and more realistic appearance. Adjust the plant until you are completely satisfied with the result.

Tip: While unfolding, step back occasionally and look at the plant from a distance to see if any areas still need adjustment.

Smoothing the Leaves

Smooth out the leaves, remove any creases, and shape them as desired. This will enhance the natural appearance of the plant.

Choosing a Matching Pot

Artificial plants are supplied in a small, sturdy black pot to prevent tipping. You can place the plant in a decorative pot of your choice. We offer a wide selection of pots and planters to perfectly complement your artificial plant.

Browse our collection to find the ideal pot for your interior.

Optional: Extra Stability and Decoration

  • Potting: Raise the plant using polystyrene and secure it with expanding foam for added stability. These materials are available at most hardware stores.

  • Top layer: As a finishing touch, you can cover the pot with decorative bark chips. These can be ordered when purchasing your artificial plant.

  • Project planting: For business clients, we offer artificial plant projects. We visit your location to pot, shape, and place multiple plants, and provide advice on matching planters.

  • Natural look: Check the plant for unnatural creases or folds. Use photos of real plants as a reference—observe how branches and leaves grow and bend naturally, and try to replicate this.

  • Lighting: Experiment with different lighting conditions to see how light affects the appearance of the leaves.
